DW-news and Fangirl-demanding

[...and now, dear readers, you may all guess what this is gonna be about. Should I even bother making a disclaimer? Hehe. Oh, heck, this is fandom-ramblings again, happy days and memories and things to look forward to. Whey-whoo. Squeeeee!!! Oh, speculation-mania. Here we go again. According to Da Beeb (aka BBC), who constantly provide us with tiny, insanely tanatalizing pieces of DW-news, samples and pics from the upcoming new seasons, we now have the following to look forward to:

After months of media speculation [no kidding!] the BBC can confirm that the BAFTA award-winning Doctor Who will return for a fifth series in Spring 2010. Viewers are in for a treat this Christmas, as a special episode starring David Tennant and Kylie Minogue will be broadcast on BBC One in December 2007. Series Four, which went into production in July 2007, will hit UK screens in Spring 2008, followed by a special episode for Christmas 2008. Freema Agyeman, who won praise for her portrayal of Martha Jones in series three [yeah right!] is also set to return mid series four. In 2009 Doctor Who will return with three specials starring David Tennant, with Head Writer, Russell T Davies. The full-length fifth series will transmit in 2010.

Therafter following lots and lots of blahblahblah quoting profiled individuals at the higher levels of BBC-administration who give praise to the "brilliant, revamped" Doctor Who, whereas even more blahblahblah is offered, which has me closing the whole window, instead turning tail and drawing a couple of logical, self-made conclusions: first and not least, David Tenannt is obviously coming BACK! Which is marvellous! A lessened work load during 2009 might prove rather wise - in addition to being, of course, very well-earned - since we don't need another burnt-out, angry Time Lord taking off in a flash. Got that, Chris? Still miss you! However, up next: a glimpse of hope that BILLIE PIPER MIGHT POSSIBLY BE CONSIDERING A KIND OF COMEBACK SOMETIME IN THE INDEFINITE FUTURE! :) The rows of speculations and farfetched discussions have been aiming pretty high over at the LJ communities where I tend to frequent (very often) and there are numerous theories as to how RTD and DT will use and develop these three "specials" broadcast in two years time. Some ideas are more sensible than others, such as The Doctor being replaced after or during series 5 (David can't stay forever, although he will be so heavily missed), Mr. Tennant needing some time off in order to work on various non-DW commitments (theatrical stuff) and thus wanting a less extensive period sometime between series 4 and 5, but then there are two problems requiring attention: Billie Piper will only return to Doctor Who when starring opposite David Tennant and the latter must (therefore) not be allowed to leave before Billi has the chance to do so. Thus, we all are suddenly anticipating and cheering (a great deal) for these now-scheduled, mysterious new outside-of-season adventures and imagining what wonderful treats they may offer us. More complex stories unlike all the previous we've seen. Everything's neither likely nor unlikely, we can just dream. Of course, most fan(girl)s have specific demands and wishes, concerning what should be included in the "open" plot-schemes. And we're currently wondering how the producers might end up solving this dramatic case of infinite shipping-potential. Angsty, soppy, happy, fluffy, it could all be there. Makes me swoon, just thinking about it. And, whichever way you consider it, these thoughts of a real off-canon reunion between The Doctor and Rose do appear a LOT less improbable, when regarded in the context of such a limitless special. In other words: happy happy happy!! At the prospects of seeing the two of them back together, whoooooray! Meaning, am not even remotely certain than any of the rumours will be half-confirmed, but happy nontheless. The tension icreasing, as are the expectations, along with the achievable quality. And we want snogging, by the way. Desolate and beautiful alien sceneries, sunsets, TARDIS-flying, much sweeter moments at Norwegian beaches, hand-holding, brown suit, running, 40's-like dancing, London Eye-satelites, denim-skirts, silly gags and werewolfs. A bit of John Barrowman, too, preferrably. Oh, man, this could be so...utterly fantastic. Unbelievably good. No, wait. Take our advice and make it perfect!!!
